How Do I Book The Glacier Explorers Boat Trip?
Directly with the operator. The trip is run and sold only by the operator, The Hermitage, through its Activities Centre, by phone or email. It is not booked through this site or through any day trip listed here.
Can This Site Change Or Cancel My Booking?
No. The site runs no tours and processes no payments. Changes, cancellations and refunds go to the booking platform for a day trip, or to the operator for the boat trip.

Boat prices are separate: adults from NZ$219, children from NZ$99 and a family pass from NZ$576, all set by the operator.

Which Start City Should I Choose?
It depends where you are staying. Christchurch trips run about 13 hours, Queenstown trips 9 to 13 hours, the Tekapo shuttle 8.5 hours and the Wanaka trip 10 hours. If you want the shortest day, the Lake Tekapo options start closest. Allow about 4 to 4.5 hours to drive from Christchurch to the village and about 3.5 hours from Queenstown if travelling independently.
